Last Minute Stress

The project is due tomorrow and to be honest I've still got a lot to do, I've procrastinated filming the commentary bits of the vlog and that has set me back more than I expected. I also just got back from a little weekend trip to Gatlinburg with some friends and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't stressed about this project during the entire trip. I'm sure others are struggling just as much I am or possibly even worse, but I hope I, as well as everyone else, am able to finish this on time. I know I am required to submit the files and the vlog itself tomorrow but I feel just a tad bit more relaxed knowing that I am among the last few students to present--god bless that randomizer.

    Hope you had fun in Gatlinburg! I just finished and it surprisingly did not take me as long as I thought. Hope yours comes together!

April 15, 2018 2:03 pm I've recorded the opening to my video log that basically encompasses my introduction and first thoughts on the American Dream. Aside from the crippling anxiety that accompanies my worries about this project outcome, I have an idea for a certain part of the video that will hopefully better this project. There are many other components to this project that have me a tad stressed--and by a tad I mean very, very  stressed--including the annotated bibliography (for this I have nearly infinite questions), the soundtrack (which is due in two days), and just the idea of actually presenting this. Despite all this, I intend to do my best work and possibly sacrifice some of my nightly four hours of sleep towards making this video log great.

The Beginning of This Mayhem

April 8, 2018 3:05 pm As I begin this project, I need to first decide which route I plan on taking then I'll need to envision what the outcome will look like. In reading off the list of options, my attention was caught by the video diary, short story, and art gallery. As much as I appreciate art and writing, I would like to go out of my comfort zone with this project and go for the video diary--that might not be the smartest option because there suddenly appears to be so much that could go wrong. But I digress, I think I'm going to go for it. However, I have some questions regarding the description of the video diary, what in the heck does "variety of mediums" mean in terms of a video diary? I guess I'll figure it out along the way, it is an ideas-over-time kind of thing after all. I might film my opening portion today, just describing my current ideas to have an established foundation that holds room for growth and development. -Catie R.
